Wellness Tip
As an addition to the posts, Hygiene and Prevention and Airport Safety, one more area of focus would be gas pumps. I wear gloves, but buttons and handles can also be easily wiped down with disinfectant wipes before use.
Prevent and Protect 🌟
Good point. Didn’t think of this. I keep a bottle of had sanitiser handy in my truck.

Well, you travel prepared! Good deal! I travel with sanitizer and gloves as well, but I’m in close contact with patients all day, which is why I also have gloves.

So your a nurse! I used that bottle today a few times when out for a quick photo shoot…

Hi John, well I’m not a nurse, but I was an EMT and discovered that I get deathly ill in the back of an Ambulence. That was enough of that for me, so now I do medical transport. I always drive so I don’t have to be in the back of an Ambulence! I transport disabled veterans ☺️☺️☺️

Oh that’s wonderful! Those services are common here, and I use them to get to medical appointments that I can’t drive home from such as some nasty dental work last year, and I’ll use them again when I go in for Lithotripsy soon. Damn kidney stones… Sorry you get so sick, I hope it doesn’t happen in a car!

It does happen in any moving 😲 transport, but not if I’m driving. So now I stay at the helm 😀 I’m glad you were able to use transport when you needed it! We transport across 7 states and it is a lot of fun! I wish you the best on your procedure. I pray it goes smoothly for you ☺️🌟☺️

I was thinking of this the other day while I was at the gas station. Any place that is high traffic, makes me instantly want to wash my hands – or not touch anything. Before I could blog it, work texted the entire group of us (medical transporters) and mentioned sanitizing at gas stations… I’m glad the word is being spread! 😊🌟😊

it seems like gas stations should keep some sort of spray at the pumps to make it easier for people to clean off the pumps before each use.

I agree! You know, I’ve noticed that some gas stations have sanitizer containers hanging up by the pumps! Hopefully we will see more of this at more gas stations! 👍😊👍

many of the stores and restaurants have hand sanitizer pumps at their entrances (and a couple of places check your temperature as well before you can enter…)

I’ve seen the sanitizer pumps but I have not seen any place that takes temperature! I know that created a bit of a scare for you where you were traveling… it’s an interesting idea! I can see how this could be beneficial.

Singapore has been a model of how to try and control the spread of the virus. That being said, they just reported the largest number of new cases in a single day – 13. I guess it just proves how hard it is to control this thing.

If they had the largest number, then I’m glad they are leading the way in modeling how it’s handled. 👍 I pray they’re successful as the world watches and we fight our own battle…

I’m not sure the Singapore model can be replicated; being a city-state-country enables them to have much tighter controls over how thing get done as compared to a country. But maybe a few best practices could be shared around the world.

Yes we need to note what truly works the best 👍

but as you have pointed out, each of us can play a key role in helping to prevent the spread of the virus

It would sure help if we each worked to prevent and and protect! It protects us and others while we are at it.

Good tip on door handles! I agree, it’s so important and it seems that we are being even more cautious today than when all this started. 🌟😊🌟
