Solitary Crafts
Need a new craft? I learned how to hand-sew a face mask 😷
If you have a sewing machine and would like to make masks for yourself and others, here is a nice pattern : Freesewing
For medical staff, use 3 layers of fabric.
Thank you J 😊

Is this your sewing machine? An antique beauty.

I just liked the picture. I wish I had it! Mine is buried in storage so I hand-stitched mine. So much faster with a machine!

OK, well if I tried sewing either way I’d be in an ER! 😂

Thank you! I’ve been thinking about sewing up a few masks. Yours looks really nice and sturdy. Since it is fabric, can it be washed and reused?

Thank you! It’s given some special people a way to contribute as masks and protective equipment supplies are running low. I’ve only made one, so I donate material to the more crafty souls. 😷☺️

That’s thoughtful of you. I’ve always thought that protective masks are made by special people in health.😃
Is there any special thing about masks? Like the kind of fabric to be used and all?

We are using 100% cotton and make them with three layers of fabric. Another one that I was given, is two layers of fabric with a pocket inside so you can add a 4×4 filter as the third layer 😊
