Post-It Notes 26

Old Shots

At an airport in 2017. The sign reads, “What are you Thankful for this Holiday Season?” On the little table were post-it notes and pens for everyone to use.

2017

What would you write on yours? How would your note of thankfulness be different this year than from a few years ago?

I sure hope so! I think we’ve all done our best in staying in more but it just seems to be taking soooo long. It hasn’t been so hard for me as I have picked up patients from COVID isolation wards – it always just seemed like a courtesy to me – to stay in more – as I am around more germs than many people are – and yet… the days have turned into months and I think people are growing weary – another day, another mask 😷 and another zoom meeting across distance! For the most part, I think everyone has worked together to stay safe and protect others. We, the restless troops, keep on keeping on! 😊✨😊

This is a very cool post. Thank you for being there doing your part when so many of us can’t do what you do everyday. My post-it note would go something like this: I’m thankful for my life with my hubby who is patient and loving, the front line workers who are working around the clock to do their best in a difficult situation, and thankful I’ve been able to go to wildlife refuges for some outside time during this whole process and for technology to stay in touch with my family. Okay, that may take 2 or 3 notes but I have a lot to be thankful for. 🙂
