Breath
Gypsophila, also known as Soapwort, Soap Root, Chalk Plant, Gyp, or Baby’s Breath, can be an annual (Gypsophila elegans) or a perennial (G. paniculata). The Bristol Fairy (Gypsophila paniculata) is commonly used for decorative purposes. Its name is said to have come into being due to its use for baby shower gifts and for gifts to new mothers. What could be more perfect for baby than flowers that symbolize everlasting love, innocence, and purity? Which, is also why it is used in wedding bouquets.
