Josh
According to the Reno Gazette Journal and the Las Vegas Sun, Nevada’s largest Joshua tree (called the Monument Tree) stands 24-feet tall. This makes it the third-largest Joshua tree in the world. It is estimated to be 700-800 years old.
Even though I haven’t gotten to see the Monument Tree, I enjoyed visiting a little while with some of its smaller family members not far from Goldfield, NV.
The Joshua Tree is a member of the Agave family.

Be well and safe my friends!
Great Joshua photos, Beth! I’ve seen some very large trees around town and elsewhere, but probably not 24 foot tall. Have you been in Nevada recently?

Thank you John! I saw a really tall one in Goldfield between a couple of buildings. Yes, I took the road trip home a few weeks ago 😊🌵😊 The tumbleweeds greeted me first!! Always waving and rolling in the wind.

Some ancient people believed trees have souls. I suppose anything is possible. I have um, met some trees that seem to possess a particular beauty & energy. After 700 or 800 years, how can any form of life not possess some form of awareness?
Beautiful pics of ancient ones

I have yet to meet a tree or plant 🪴 that doesn’t posses an energy within it… like all living beings. Life is energy and spirit. And even In death, the leaves and barks concentrate their energies for use in aromatherapy, cooking, candles, and medicines! I would certainly love to spend some time with The Monument tree! Thank you 😊🌵🌟

Very true. I’m not a ‘tree hugger’, yet I’ve actually hugged a tree … if someone asked me why, I’d reply with, “Why not?”
: ) you’re welcome, but I enjoyed the photos. I like the way you think & see

I try to make sure the tree and I are alone before we embrace… lmao… Txx again! 😎🌟
