“A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step” is a common saying that originated from a famous Chinese proverb. The quotation is from Chapter 64 of the Tao Te Ching ascribed to Laozi, although it is also erroneously ascribed to his contemporary, Confucius.
It was reintroduced to Americans by John F Kennedy referencing the first nuclear test ban treaty of 1963.
The year was 2019, the 11th day of April and this was my very first blog post. I was thrilled to get 3 likes 😊 🙏
You’ve come a long way with your blog, Beth. ❤️ That saying is so simple and true. ☺️

I enjoy the familiar views of home very much. I wasn’t sure I would get back to blogging or not, but I am glad to be back! 😊🤗😊

I’m glad that you did come back, Beth! The strong sense of community hasn’t changed here as far as I can tell. What part of the valley were you in? I’m northwest.

Thank you John! 🙏 I enjoy the community feeling and support between bloggers. I go through the valley mostly. But also… home is all of Nevada!

I see, thanks for this. Most of the state’s population seems to be in Clark County. Very different from Michigan, my home state. My hometown used to have only 90K in the county, not so now which sucks.
